Aurora 88s roller derby to compete July 14

Come out and support your local roller derby leagues at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 14, at the Aurora Skate Center, 34W113 Montgomery Road, Aurora. Doors open at 5 p.m.; whistle starts at 5:30 p.m.

The day's events include DJ entertainment for all to enjoy, and get you in a cheering mood; a half-time show; concession stand available at the rink; and various vendors.

There will be a bake sale supporting the Aurora 88s Roller Derby

Tickets also are $10 when purchased directly from your favorite 88 member, skater, referee or NSO (non-skating official).

Tickets at the door are $12 or $10 for seniors. Kids younger than age 12 are free.

For skater discount, email your derby name, league affiliation to Aurora88sinterleague@gmail.com or volunteer and get free admission, along with a beer ticket for the after-party. Message the Aurora 88s if interested in being a security member or tape attendant via www.facebook.com/aurora88s/ or email aurora88derby@gmail.com. Must be age 18 or older.

After the bout, enjoy some craft beer, live music, and dancing at the after-party at Two Brothers Roundhouse, 205 N. Broadway Ave., Aurora.
