5 things to do this weekend in the suburbs

Naperville Ribfest
What says summer more than ribs, big-name music, kids' activities and a carnival? Country music star Jordan Davis takes the stage starting at 5:30 p.m. Friday, followed by Chris Janson and Jake Owen. On Saturday, Haley Reinhart sings at 6:30 p.m. and Steven Tyler and the Loving Mary Band headline at 8:30 p.m. in Knoch Park, West Street and Martin Avenue, Naperville. Tickets cost $45 for Friday and $75 for Saturday. VIP, upgrade packages and carnival wristbands are available. Admission to the South Park only, with access to ribs, carnival and the family area but not the main stage entertainment, is $5. ribfest.net. Noon to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, July 6-7.
Lakeside Fest
Crystal Lake's 39th annual event features carnival rides, Taste by the Lake, kids' events and historic mansion tours. The parade starts at 1 p.m. Saturday, followed by a baggo tournament at 1:30 p.m. and fireworks at dusk. Hi Infidelity plays at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Modern Day Romeos headlines at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Lakeside Legacy Arts Park, 401 Country Club Road, Crystal Lake. General admission is $5; $2 for seniors; and free for kids 12 and younger and active military with valid ID. lakesideartspark.org. Food trucks galore
Come hungry to the Food Truck Festival on Ride to the Million at Arlington International Racecourse, 2200 W. Euclid Ave., Arlington Heights. There will be 20 food trucks on-site from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday. Music includes Semple playing from 1 to 5 p.m. on the Miller Lite Band Stage in The Park and 7th heaven on The Park Expansion Stage from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. General admission to the park is $8 online for adults and $4 for kids; food truck VIP tickets cost $50. arlingtonpark.com/. 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 7.
Top talent
Cheer on local musicians as they compete in the Suburban Chicago's Got Talent Top 20 show for 2018. The finalists, drawn from an initial pool of 95 acts, perform at the Arcada Theatre, 105 E. Blues men
