President trying to end the embarrassment

This is in response to Ron McGregor (Your Views, June 23). So, if you're so embarrassed to be an American because of President Donald Trump, I've got a few questions. Are you "embarrassed" by the establishment's liberal, progressive agenda over the last 50 years that has resulted in the murder of 50 million innocent babies?

Are you "embarrassed" by the $20 trillion debt that politicians (Democrats and Republicans alike) have left for our grandchildren? Are you "embarrassed" by the largest proportion of people on government assistance ever, and 75 of black babies being born with a single parent? Are you "embarrassed" by our failing public education, liberalized colleges, high addiction rates, high inner-city murder rates and the unprecedented allowance of small minorities to redefine traditional religious and cultural institutions?

How about U.S. veterans making up the largest number of the homeless, while we give billions to other countries (sometimes our enemies)? Are you "embarrassed" about that? I almost forgot; massive illegal immigration and massive social division caused by race-baiters and the mainstream media to keep the status quo and the establishment in power. Are you "embarrassed" by that?

Millions of Americans have been "embarrassed" by the real issues for a long time. Empty promise politicians have put us in this situation, all our "embarrassing" president is trying to do is get us out of it.
