Police seek tips after 3 fatally shot in northeast Indiana

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - Fort Wayne police are seeking tips from the public as they investigate the fatal shootings of three men in the northeastern Indiana city.

Names of the dead were released Thursday. Police say a man was found with gunshot wounds on a sidewalk just north of Fort Wayne's downtown area early Thursday and pronounced dead at a hospital. He's identified as 26-year-old Dernail Ivory Brown.

Officers were responding to that shooting when they received a call about a nearby car crash. Police were told it likely was likely connected to the earlier shooting.

Police found 25-year-old Deshaun Devon Richards dead from gunshot wounds inside that car and 28-year-old Breondon Devon Pinkston inside who had also been shot. He died later at a hospital. The men who died were from Fort Wayne.
