Don't give up, even when all seems lost
" I am the way …"
-John 14 :6 (AMP).
Is there something you're praying and believing for, yet nagging thoughts of doubt make you feel it's virtually impossible? It seems like every scenario you come up with seems unimaginable that it could occur.
It feels like the devil is sitting on your shoulder telling you, "not possible!"
You find yourself so tired of doubting and struggling to find a way out that you can't stand it. Yet we all have situations that feel that way. Some are extremely serious, and we already feel defeated just by our thoughts. I've had serious issues in my life, and still have a few, and fight those nagging doubts.
I have mentioned many times before I was housebound with an illness for eight long years. I doubted there were any solutions or hope of change. I went over many scenarios in my head, but all seemed impossible.
Then one beautiful June day, God made a way. It wasn't at all how I expected it to happen. But he did it. I just celebrated my 10th anniversary of being out of my house.
I enjoy reading and hearing Christian testimonies. They are filled with the different ways Jesus made his way into the hearts and minds of believers. Other testimonies tell of how God delivered people from impossible circumstances.
I know that many of you, dear readers, are struggling with extreme difficulties. It's hard to understand. The only thing that makes sense to me is that if we had all the answers to our dilemmas we wouldn't need God. We could do life all on our own. But if we turn to him amid our doubts, fears and perplexities, our faith will win out and God will make a way for us.
This may come in the form of an idea, or a circumstance that changes, or some kind of miracle. Sometimes it's through a broken dream when he replaces the old with something new and desirable.
When fear and doubt crowd hope out, as people of faith we have to keep saying to ourselves that God will make a way.
