Carpentersville
• Carmen Segovia, 31, of Elgin was charged Sunday with retail theft, Carpentersville records show. She is accused of stealing $73 worth of merchandise from Walmart on Lake Marian Road.
• Marisol Zavala-Hernandez, 37, of Carpentersville was charged Saturday with retail theft, police said. She is accused of stealing $36 worth of merchandise from Walmart.
• An $800 Samsung Galaxy S8 cellphone was reported stolen Saturday from McDonald's on Kennedy Drive.
• A resident on the 400 block of Blackhawk Avenue reported June 8 that someone drove a vehicle in circles on his lawn and damaged the apple tree in his front yard.
• Tiara M. Moore, 18, of Carpentersville was charged June 8 with retail theft, police said. She is accused of stealing $88 worth of merchandise from Walmart. Police discovered Moore had outstanding warrants for her arrest in Palatine and Kane and McHenry counties. She was released from Carpentersville on her own recognizance and placed in the custody of Palatine police.
• Someone broke the rear window of a pickup truck cap June 7 while the vehicle was parked on the 2200 block of Randall Road.
• Jennifer D. Smylie, 45, of Marengo was charged June 7 with retail theft, Carpentersville police said. She is accused of stealing $144 worth of clothing and makeup from Kohl's in Spring Hill Mall.
• A toolbox containing various tools, valued about $1,000 total, was reported stolen June 6 out of a Dundee Township Park District truck parked at 21 N. Washington St.
