Downers Grove concert series continues

Downers Grove Park District's Summer Concert Series continues Tuesday evenings through Aug. 21 at Fishel Park.

The free, family-friendly concerts will be held at Veterans Memorial Pavilion in the park on Grove Street, just west of Main Street. Concerts begin at 7 p.m. with food, beer and wine sales beginning at 6 p.m.

Here's the remaining lineup:

• June 19: Classical Blast (pop/rock with classical instruments).

• June 26: Mellencougar (John Mellencamp tribute).

• July 3: Pirates Over 40 (Caribbean/Buffett).

• July 10: Final Say (pop/rock).

• July 17: Generation (oldies/rock).

• July 24: The Four C Notes (The Four Seasons tribute).

• July 31: Soda (pop/rock).

• Aug. 7: Rockstar Rodeo (country).

• Aug. 14: Cadillac Groove (horns/classic rock).

• Aug. 21: The Rhythm Rockets (1940s & '50s jazz/rhythm & blues).

The Summer Concert Series welcomes more than 15,000 visitors each summer.
