New Lake Barrington trustee appointed

Susie Perkins has been appointed to fill a vacant Lake Barrington village board trustee seat.

Perkins was sworn in Tuesday night after the village board ratified her appointment by Village President Kevin Richardson. Perkins now occupies the post vacated last fall by Karen Daulton Lange after she was appointed as village administrator.

"We are excited to welcome Susie to the board of trustees where she will bring a valuable perspective to the board," Richardson said. "Susie has proved herself to be a committed member of the community, and will be another strong advocate for continuing our mission to ensure Lake Barrington remains a wonderful place to live and raise a family."

Perkins said she's "greatly honored" to be on the village board.
