Pavement upkeep to begin Monday in Arlington Heights
Arlington Heights streets that were resurfaced last year will have a rejuvenating agent applied beginning Monday, village officials said.
The pavement rejuvenation process, which is designed to extend the roadway's life by sealing it from the elements, involves a few hours of work. The street is first swept, then the liquid Reclamite is applied one lane at a time, followed by limestone screenings. Once one lane has cured, then crews repeat the process on the other lane.
No parking will be allowed on streets where work will be done, though residents will be able to exit driveways and drive through work areas.
The work throughout the village is expected to last a week.
