Montana gets commitment from former Boise State redshirt QB

MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) - A former redshirt quarterback at Boise State has committed to transferring to the University of Montana.

Cam Humphrey redshirted at Boise State in 2016 and played last season at Saddleback College, a junior college in Mission Viejo, California. He averaged nearly 200 yards passing per game, threw 19 touchdown passes and led the team to an 8-3 record.

He told the Missoulian his time at Saddleback made him a better quarterback and leader.

Montana's other quarterbacks are junior Dalton Sneed and redshirt freshman Tanner Wilson. Last year's starter, Gresch Jensen, transferred out of the program after spring ball.

Sneed played at UNLV as a redshirt freshman in 2016 and at Fort Scott Community College in Kansas last season before transferring to Montana for the spring semester.
