Shop for bargains at church rummage sale

The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1111 N. Elmhurst Road, Prospect Heights, invites neighbors, vendors and bargain hunters to its 10th Flea Market and Rummage Sale from 8 to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 23.

Sellers of good, quality and gently used items and crafts, but no new manufactured items, may rent a 9-by-18-foot space in the church's parking lot for $25 and set up from 6 to 7:30 a.m. Preregister through Saturday, June 16, by sending a check for $25 to the church with your name, address, phone number and email address.

On June 23, any remaining spaces will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis for $30 at 6 a.m. Fee is payable on entering the church's south parking lot. A total of 50 spaces are available.

New this year, the rummage sale will open from 7 to 8 a.m. for a "sneak peek" with a charge of $5 per person. The sale will be open to the public from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with no charge.

Visitors of all ages are welcome from 8 to 2 p.m. Come to find good flea market, craft items and indoor rummage sale buys. Enjoy food, kids' activities and a bake sale. "

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the church's interfaith mission trip with Cass Community Social Services in their campaign to revitalize communities and provide opportunities for the people of Detroit, Michigan.
