What students can do

People ask "why do these shootings keep on taking place"? Consider how students can bring these apocalyptic moments on themselves. Anti-Bullying receives plenty of attention in our schools, yet students continue to bully. In the book "Conversations with God," Neale Walsch states in so many words, "things are the way they are because you want them that way." Example, movies and games glorifying violence and predatory motives from hypocritical Hollywood keep coming out because people continue to watch and play them. Consequences can be felt both at home and in our schools.

Students are anxious to express oceans of love after a shooting, why don't they take more of a stand in their schools when someone is getting bullied or silently ostracized from the clique because they don't conform.

Let's get to the root, retaliation slowly brews over time when the individual has had enough of insults, isolation, and hollow pity. Students. Stop supporting the incubator of your own demise. Of course this does not apply to the majority of students; many are of good and caring behavior. The perpetrators (some may be your so-called good friends) that bully need your love, but also policed by the strong ones that truly care and will take a stand, less they create lone slowly cooking agents of rejection that will continue the Armageddon.
