The role of bullying
You couldn't have picked a better time to talk about the safety of our children. We are losing our children to violence in our schools and communities. When I say losing I really mean LOSING. Death, mental health issues and PTSD. Our children have become social media targets 24/7.
Victims who either had to quit school or had to be buried at the age of 6 due to incessant bullying and intimidation. No more punishing the victims. We demand changes ASAP for our children.
We don't need anymore research or data to prove what we already know. Bullying kills. Cyberbullying kills. Our schools need to take bullying, mental health issues and suicide seriously. Some do and unfortunately some won't touch these subjects with a 10-foot pole.
Let's face it some kids are bullies and some are just troublemakers. Listen to your kids, grandkids, neighbors, students and please get them help. Parents follow that "gut feeling" of yours because it's usually right. Suicide is the second leading cause of death for ages 10-24. We demand all schools to follow our state laws to protect all students.
