Taste of Grayslake Family Picnic & Fireworks is June 30

Join the Grayslake Community Park District for the Taste of Grayslake Family Picnic & Fireworks on Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 3-10pm in Central Park (250 Library Lane, Grayslake, IL 60030). The event is presented by the Grayslake Park District, the Grayslake Chamber of Commerce, and the Village of Grayslake.

"The Taste of Grayslake Family Picnic & Fireworks is a wonderful community event," said Grayslake Park District Executive Director Kristin Splitt. "People come early to set-up their blankets and lawn chairs, then spend the afternoon enjoying the park with friends and neighbors as they wait for the fireworks to start at dusk."

The Taste of Grayslake features live entertainment throughout the day, a climbing wall, kiddy rides, other carnival-type games, and bubble soccer. This year's live music lineup includes The Complex from 3-6pm and Mike & Joe from 6:30-9:30pm. Local businesses and community groups will also have booths lining the fields in Central Park.

A wide variety of foods will be available from local vendors, including BBQ'd Productions, Dog N Suds, and Papa Johns from the Grayslake area, as well as the Brat Shop, Dairy Queen, Sharon's Smoothies & Jerk Hut, Popcorn Jester and Jester Juice, Tres Flores Funnel Cakes, and Tropical Chill Ice. The Grayslake Park District offers a beer tent which includes beverages from Light the Lamp Brewery and Gluntz Family Winery & Cellars.

The fun-filled day concludes with a spectacular fireworks display at dusk. If you're driving to the event, parking is available at Grayslake Middle School and Grayslake Central High School.
