The ERA court headache
I do not understand your ERA headline. The ERA is not one state's vote from becoming an amendment.
It probably is one vote away from being a big headache for the courts. The time limit for ratification is past. If some are correct and the time limit means nothing, then perhaps they are one court decision from having an amendment. But what of the five states that at first ratified and then rescinded the amendment? Perfectly OK to ratify after a time limit but not OK to rescind?
Talk about having your cake and eating it too.
