Baseball: Montini falls in sectional semifinal

The Broncos (20-14) fell in the Class 3A Nazareth sectional semifinals at Boomers Stadium in Schaumburg. Nazareth broke a scoreless tie in the top of the sixth inning when Ryan Turgeon singled home 2 runs. Turgeon, who started and pitched 5 innings, and Chance Roach combined on a 1-hitter with 11 strikeouts and no walks. Broncos pitchers Ben Steiner and Michael Sclafani, who had Montini's lone hit, allowed 4 hits.
