Talented Community Members Join Students for 'Try New Things Day' at Woodland Primary School
Gages Lake -- Students from kindergarten classes will participate in the annual "Try New Things Day" on Monday, May 21 at Woodland Primary School. This unique event offers students an opportunity to participate in novel and interactive presentations. Each kindergartener has the opportunity to participate in four, 30-minute sessions. Many community members, vendors and skilled parents share a wide variety of careers, hobbies and special interests.
Students are allowed to participate in the activities that interest them most. This part of "Try New Things Day" encourages individuality and lets students meet schoolmates with similar interests. Presentations are available across all fields. Sports fans can choose from soccer, street hockey, yoga, or fitness classes. Animal lovers may pick Comfort Dogs, The Frog Lady, or Pet-Palooza with the Warren-Newport Library. Amateur artists may learn how to draw or create a messy marble art project. There is something for everyone.
Try New Things Day begins at 10:15 AM and is packed with fun-filled activities, entertainment, and presenters. Presenters who donate their time include the following:
