Taste of Glen Ellyn opens four-day run

The 41st annual Taste of Glen Ellyn celebration began its four-day run Thursday in downtown as the village's traditional harbinger of summer.

This year's Taste features an assortment of classic rock cover bands, a business expo, a weekend craft fair, a carnival, the chance to paint flower pots that will be displayed throughout the village, a 5K race on Saturday to raise money for the B.R. Ryall YMCA Scholarship Fund and, of course, plenty of food from local restaurants.

The party continues from 5 to 10:30 p.m. Friday, noon to 10:30 p.m. Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday in the Main Street parking lot between Hillside Avenue and Duane Street.
