Two charged with attempted burglary in Bartlett

DuPage County prosecutors Monday charged a Hanover Park man and a Chicago man with attempted residential burglary in connection with their arrests Monday in Bartlett.

Quincy D. Brothers, 25, of the 6300 block of Church Road in Hanover Park, and Eric L. Bond, 21, of the 3200 block of West Arthington Street in Chicago, were taken to the DuPage County Jail in Wheaton to await bond hearings after the Class 2 Felony charges were filed.

At about 10:45 a.m. Monday, Bartlett police officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Ancient Oaks Drive for a report of a suspicious incident.

A witness told officers that a man later identified as Brothers rang the doorbell of a residence and a man later identified as Bond then attempted to break through its rear kitchen window shortly afterward, according to police.

Officers located Brothers inside a 2008 Honda Accord and arrested him. They arrested Bond after a short foot chase in the area of Towering Oaks Court, police said.
