Girls track: Antioch sends three downstate

Antioch and Grant each produced state qualifiers in the Class 3A meet hosted by the Barbs on Thursday.

The Sequoits had three athletes advance.

Junior Noor Abdellatif placed second in the pole vault, having cleared 10-3. Sophomore Ayanna Tommy took second in the 100 dash in 12.42, and senior Jill Everett advanced in the discus with a third-place finish (118-11).

Grant will be represented downstate by senior Ariyona Wallace, who grabbed the last qualifying spot in the 100 with a fifth-place finish in 12.53.

Belvidere North took the team championship with 116.25 points.
