Registration open for Citizens for Conservation youth camp
There are still spaces open for Citizens for Conservation's Junior Naturalist Camp, which takes place June 18-22.
The camp is for children ages 7-10. Campers become Junior Naturalists as they create nature art, record scientific observations, and identify native plants and animals.
They learn how to catch water bugs and fish with nets, where to look for snakes, how bees make honey, how plants have different seeds and more.
Participants will also explore Flint Creek Savanna and Grigsby Prairie to discover biodiversity and learn about animals and plants.
All activities are age-appropriate and designed for hands-on learning. Groups are small and provide high adult-to-youth interaction.
Camp fee is $100 for Citizens for Conservation members and $150 for nonmembers.
