Girls soccer: Harvest Christian advances to 1A regional final

Nicole Ahrens and Hannah Caldwell scored the goals and Isa Garcia had 7 saves in goal Wednesday as Harvest Christian defeated Harvard 2-0 in the semifinals of the Class 1A Johnsburg girls soccer regional.

Maggie D'Allessandro had both assists for the Lions (10-6-1), who take on host Johnsburg Friday for the regional title.

Burlington Central 9, Woodstock North 1: Zoey Kollhoff, Kara Drummond and Jordan King each had 2 goals for the Rockets (18-2, 12-0), who wrapped up the Kishwaukee River crown with this win. Also scoring for BC were Maddie Menke, Reagan Oller and Sydney Pryor.

Erin Rafferty and Kyla Butler split time in goal, each making 1 save.
