NYON, Switzerland (AP) - UEFA has picked two World Cup referees for its club competition finals this month before the tournament in Russia.
Milorad Mazic of Serbia will referee the Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid on May 26 in Kiev, Ukraine, UEFA said on Monday.
Bjorn Kuipers of the Netherlands will referee the Atletico Madrid-Marseille Europa League final on May 16 in Lyon, France.
It is a second Europa League final for Kuipers, after Chelsea's 2013 win over Benfica. The 45-year-old Dutchman also worked Atletico's 2014 Champions League final loss to Real Madrid.
Mazic and Kuipers have both been picked by FIFA to referee at a second straight World Cup, which kicks off next month.
They also refereed the past two Confederations Cup finals: Mazic in Russia last year and Kuipers in Brazil in 2013.
