One more reason to leave Illinois
If it isn't the property taxes, the pathetic corruption of Springfield or the crime, sometimes it's the "little things" that just disgust residents and make them leave the state.
After paying a West Chicago parking ticket in 2014 within three weeks of receiving it, the city has sent me to collections four YEARS later. On May 3, the city of West Chicago stated the 2014 payment was received six days late. They admit they never sent another notice after cashing my check that paid the parking ticket.
Four years later, the city sent this to collections!
Corrupt and unethical. West Chicago police stand by the city and the four-year delay, and no communications.
One more reason people are leaving Illinois and this state's reputation is despicable.
A "For Sale" sign will be in my yard soon.
Illinois is pathetic and West Chicago is just as corrupt as Springfield.
