Baseball: Zalewski helps Wheeling walk off with an extra-inning win
Cade Zalewski drove home the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning as host Wheeling claimed a 5-4 victory over Palatine in Mid-Suburban League baseball Friday.
The Wildcats rallied with 3 runs in the bottom of the seventh to force extra innings as Drew Roberts and Zalewski had RBI singles and Andy Shover drove in a run on a fielder's choice.
In the ninth, Jeremy Kim led off with a double and Kyle Bullock was intentionally walked. A sacrifice bunt by Roberts moved Kim and Bullock along, and an intentional walk to Shover loaded the bases.
