Ensuring happy trails

I walk my dogs just about every day on the Great Western Trail in St. Charles Township.

I was walking Sunday, Earth Day, morning and noticed several large garbage bags filled with trash and litter. On our daily walk, I try to pick up the "easy stuff."

The Dick Pond Running Club went through the trail and bordering areas completely "de-trashing" the trail. They deserve recognition for their great efforts.

The trail looks great and is rid of a big load of disgusting garbage. I say "good on ya," Dick Pond Running Club. I wish all my fellow citizens took time to pick up the junk in all our common areas.
