New Community Liaison at Radford Green Healthcare Center at Sedgebrook of Lincolnshire

The choice was easy for Cherie Clark. When she learned that the community liaison position at Radford Green was open, she knew immediately that it was a job she wanted. Having been working in senior living in Northern Illinois for the past five years, she was fully aware of the status of Sedgebrook senior living community in Lincolnshire, and its healthcare center Radford Green. Cherie, a native of Nashville, moved to Lake Bluff, IL in 2008 with her husband Bud and their first child, Jack who has Down syndrome. Cherie and Bud decided it was best to move to Illinois where they'd have the family support of her in-laws, and access to better schools for children with special needs.

"I went into the senior living industry because I was inspired by my parents' needs as they aged, and I love working with seniors," Cherie said. She worked for a senior care management firm before learning of the opening at Radford Green.

In her capacity as community liaison for Radford Green, Cherie is responsible for visiting patients in hospitals who will be requiring rehabilitation before returning to their home. "I go and visit them and answer questions they may have about their recovery and how Radford Green can help them," she said, "I also coordinate marketing and referral events."

Just as Cherie said that her choice to work with Radford Green was an easy one to make, so too is the decision for patients to choose the community for their rehabilitation.
