Arlington Heights library hiring consultant to help search for next director

The Arlington Heights Memorial Library board is hiring a consultant to assist with the search and hiring process for a permanent executive director, board President Debbie Smart said in an announcement Monday.

The selected firm will assist in recruiting a pool of qualified applicants and provide initial screening. The board hopes to have the selection process complete with a permanent executive director in place by the end of the summer.

When a search firm has been selected, more information on the search will be posted on the library website, www.ahml.info.

Former director Jason Kuhl resigned in September citing personal reasons. The board appointed Mike Driskell, the director of administration, as interim executive director.
