Girls water polo

Mundelein put together a 2-1 finish in the tournament it hosted Saturday.

The Mustangs counted wins against Fremd (10-3) and Oak Park-River Forest (8-3) and suffered their only loss against tournament champ Lincoln-Way Central 8-5.

Abbie Lukas led Mundelein scoring in each game. She finished with a total of 16 goals, and Adry Kasemets had 3.

• Elk Grove went 2-2 in the tournament it hosted Saturday, blanking Warren and Rolling Meadows 10-0 and suffering a 12-5 loss to Riverside-Brookfield and a 10-9 setback to Maine West.

Alyssa Bonilla and Kaylee Hatfield had 3 goals apiece against Warren. Against Meadows, Bonilla had a game-best 7 goals and Gillian Guerra had 3.

Rolling Meadows finished 1-3, the victory a 13-10 decision over Warren.
