Aurora man held on weapons charges

An Aurora man has been charged with four counts of unlawful handgun possession.

Miguel A. Torres, 22, was arrested March 30 after Aurora police searched his home on the 200 block of Beach Street, police announced Wednesday. Officers said they found two handguns, ammunition and cannabis in the home.

Torres has been charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a handgun by a felon on parole and two counts of unlawful possession of a handgun by a felon. He is being held at the Kane County jail. No information on Torres' next court date was available.
