Have a wild and crazy time at GLASA's annual benefit

Submitted by the Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association

The Lake Shore Harley Davidson in Libertyville will host the Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association's annual benefit, the GLASA Gala, on Saturday, April 28. The theme, "Live From GLASA, It's Saturday Night," sets the tone for a fun-filled evening with the Blues Brothers Band, a whiskey tasting bar, a photo booth, live and silent auctions, cocktails and gourmet tastings from local restaurants. Featured are GLASA athletes Jason Handler of Lake Forest, Indamor Zamara of Zion and Joel and David Rodriguez of Chicago.

The GLASA Gala serves as the major fundraiser to assist the Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association in providing quality adaptive sports programs for children, teens and adults including injured military who have a physical or visual disability. The proceeds from this event will help GLASA provide year-round, daily adaptive sports programming and will provide financial assistance for over 63 percent of GLASA athletes who use the Athlete Scholarship Fund. GLASA's goals are to help increase the overall health and wellness of its participants, assist with program funding and expand outreach to surrounding communities in the greater Chicagoland area and southern Wisconsin.

The evening will include food and spirits generously donated by local restaurants that represent a variety of cuisines and cultures. Participating restaurants include: Francesca's Intimo, Longitud 315, Jay Lovell's, Shakou, Mavery Public House, MLG Chicago, Pizzeria Daville and the Chocolate Sanctuary. Desserts and coffee will be offered by Food for Thought, Bent Fork, and Reprise Coffee Roasters. Appetizers donated by Heller Catering and Kloss Distributing will provide a wide selection of craft beer.

North Shore Harley Davidson is at 14000 W. Rockland Road, Libertyville.

Tickets are $125 per person.
