Tax appeal seminar April 16 in Arlington Heights

Elected officials will host a property tax seminar next week as the deadline for appealing property taxes approaches.

The seminar will be 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday, April 16, at the Elk Grove Township headquarters, 2400 S. Arlington Heights Road in Arlington Heights.

Staff will be on hand to answer questions and help guide guests through the property tax appeal process. Elk Grove Township residents have until April 23 to submit a property tax appeal.

Guests should bring a copy of their property tax bill, paperwork from any appraisal performed within the last 18 months and a closing statement if the property was purchased within the last year.

The event is free and open to the public.
