Tigers' Cabrera back in lineup after leaving previous game

CHICAGO (AP) - Detroit Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera is back in the lineup after leaving the previous game because of left hip flexor tightness.

Manager Ron Gardenhire says Cabrera is "ready to go" and has him batting third and playing first base against the White Sox on Saturday.

The two-time AL MVP jammed his hip when he tripped and fell rounding first on a single in the first inning against Chicago on Thursday. It tightened up when he played the field, and Niko Goodrum replaced him at first base in the second.

Gardenhire says right-hander Mike Fiers (lumbar strain) will be activated from the 10-day disabled list in time to start Sunday's game.
