Undeserved vitriol
On April 2, a letter from an Elgin resident was printed that was so full of hate, lies and vitriol, primarily focused on the recent student march, that to write a proper rebuttal would have taken about half of tomorrow's paper. Opinions are one thing, but to knowingly disseminate falsities are beyond the pale. I appreciate that the paper wants to be fair to all, but it's a shame when they forget that to tell the truth is part of their masthead. I knew that applied to reporters, I just assumed that it applied to all of us.
