Girls soccer: Dominguez, Gratz power Geneva past Schaumburg

Jenna Dominguez had a hat trick as the Geneva girls soccer team defeated Schaumburg 5-2 Thursday in the Rose Augsburg Drach Invitational at St. Charles East.

Sydney Gratz added a pair of goals and 3 assists for the Vikings (4-2) while Lauren Albrecht and Liz Tegge each had assists.

Katie Montgomery had 5 saves in goal for Geneva, which plays St. Charles East Saturday in the final round of the tournament.

Naperville Central 2, St. Charles East 1: Kayla Villa scored off an assist from Alondra Carranza for the host Saints (5-2-3) at the Augsburg Drach Invite.

Harvest Christian 13, Rockford Christian Life 0: Anastasia Hermiz had a hat trick and Eva Serrato scored 2 goals and added 2 assists to lead the Lions (4-2, 2-0) to a Northeastern Athletic Conference win. Also scoring for Harvest were Sonja Jenkins, Maggie D'Alessandro, Nicole Ahrens, Holly Colclasure, Hannah Pienkowski, Abby Jones and Isamar Garcia. Emma Stotz and Hermiz each added assists. Garcia and D'Alessandro were not tested in goal.

Huntley 2, Marian Central 0: Taylor Kaufman and Brenna Keegan scored goals for Huntley (2-3-1) in its nonconference win. Hannah Scholer had an assist for the Red Raiders while Jenna Franklin (3 saves) and Ashley Lovins (2 saves) shared the shutout in goal.
