Portugal midfielder Danilo to miss World Cup

LISBON, Portugal (AP) - Portugal defensive midfielder Danilo Pereira is set to miss this summer's World Cup after injuring his left leg.
Club FC Porto says Danilo has partially torn his Achilles tendon and will need to undergo surgery.
The 26-year-old Danilo helped Fernando Santos' side win the 2016 European Championship.
Portugal starts its World Cup campaign in Russia on June 15 when it plays neighbor Spain.
