New Morton Grove OrthoAccess Clinic Provides Urgent Orthopedic Care, Lower Cost than the Emergency Room
According to data from the Health Care Cost Institute released in January 2018, spending on an emergency room visits increased to an average of $1,917 in 2016 - climbing more than 31 percent from 2012. While emergency medical treatment is a necessity, many patients are more than a little surprised at the substantial out-of-pocket costs on the final bill.
To help Illinois patients get the urgent care they need for orthopedic injuries or conditions, the Illinois Bone & Joint Institute (IBJI) created OrthoAccess, a walk-in orthopedic immediate care clinic designed to quickly and affordably treat simple fractures, sprains, strains, work and sports injuries and more. OrthoAccess can save patients as much as 80 percent on orthopedic care when compared to a typical emergency room visit for services including injury examination and diagnosis, X-rays and MRIs.
This month, IBJI opened its newest new OrthoAccess location in Morton Grove at 9000 Waukegan Road.
The new Morton Grove location, like all other OrthoAccess locations, is staffed by board-certified orthopedic physicians and surgeons who offer high-quality immediate care - walk-ins are always welcome. The clinic is open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and on Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Morton Grove clinic marks IBJI's fifth OrthoAccess location.
IBJI's other OrthoAccess clinics are located in Glenview, Gurnee, Lake Barrington and Libertyville.
IBJI is one of the largest independent, physician-owned orthopedic practices in the U.S. with locations throughout Chicago and northern Illinois. IBJI specializes in treating orthopedic conditions, sports-related injuries and workers' compensation care.
