Where is outrage for a daily tragedy?
Why isn't this our headline every day? "880-plus children were murdered yesterday across the United States." And, 880-plus more will be murdered tomorrow and repeated every day of this year. The total murders will be 321,200 by the end of 2018 and this happened without one gunshot, knifing or bombing.
Where is the media's outrage and 24/7 news coverage for these children? Children, that those unable to have their own wait years and spend tens of thousands of dollars would love to bring into their lives. Children that could have a warm, loving home instead of being thrown away in mass graves throughout the United States.
Why are the schoolchildren not having protest walkouts for these children? Why are the "adults in charge" not clamoring to stop this slaughter and improve the safety of these children?
Think about it. What some call tissue, ends up where? What we call a baby is either incinerated, placed in a landfill, or its parts sold to the highest bidder. The students from Parkland and across the nation raise their voices about the continuing violence in our landscape brought on, they feel, by guns. It goes deeper than that. Much deeper. It is in the souls that inhabit our nation. We have lost our way and with it the mores that kept much of this violence in abeyance. When a society abandons its belief in the sanctity of life - all life suffers. We must stand against all violence especially against children but we must be consistent in how we form the context of the concepts we wish to purport.
So will your vote in November be for people who support allowing the murder of children?
Please, people, choose life and choose the moral way to live. Think of others, not yourself.
