A small group of thoughtful, committed people

Did you see the young speakers at the March for Life? If I had to sum up my reaction in one word, it would be embarrassed. How could my generation be anything less for allowing things get this far out of hand? After Sandy Hook elementary, every adult in the country, especially our politicians, should have said enough. We should have fought for our children. There is a quotation that I teach to my children. "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead.

I actually take the time out to teach this to my kids, but I did not live up to it. Yes, I am embarrassed and ashamed that we (or I) did nothing. I should have been screaming from the rooftops. Instead, we let it get so bad that our children must teach us how to get things done in a democracy. May God and the children of our communities forgive us.

They are showing us the way. We cannot drop the ball here. We must support them with our full devotion. For those that are elected officials, don't think your safe for now because my kids cannot vote yet, because I can.
