Pray for leaders to work together
Do we have another Nero? Our President Donald Trump, is a bombastic egoist. He plays golf, sends derogatory tweets, discharges his advisers who disagree with him and makes many remarks off the cuff which are alarming. He wants to spend millions of dollars for an armed forces parade like Hitler or China and North Korea. Build a wall like Hitler or China. Arm teachers instead of reasonable gun laws.
These occupy his time and appease his ego. All while he should be working with Congress to enact reasonable laws to move the country forward to in his own words "make America great again," although it is great now.
His ego will be somewhat satisfied with a new national pledge: I pledge allegiance to the United States of Donald Trump. One nation under Trump. With liberty and justice for all who please Trump.
Our country is on fire and every day is worse. A recent Michael Gerson column in the Daily Herald said Trump is not capable to be an emperor. I totally agree with this. Therefore I will not contribute or vote for any organization or candidate who supports Donald Trump.
I will continue to pray to God for Donald Trump and all elected officials to work together with civility to enact reasonable laws to benefit all Americans, not just a select few. I also pray that God will make our Great America Greater.
