Gala to benefit Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra

A benefit gala, "Sing of Spring," will he held next month in Hinsdale to support the programs of the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra.

Soprano Josefien Stoppelenburg will join ESO Music Director and Conductor Stephen Alltop at the piano for a journey through the life and music of George Gershwin with a program that features songs such as "Someone to Watch Over Me," "The Man I Love," "Summertime" and "I've Got Rhythm."

The gala runs from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 15, at the Katherine Legge Memorial Lodge, 5901 S. County Line Road. Dinner will be catered by La Cuisine, and there will be a split-the-pot raffle and silent auction.
