Time for Congress to lead on gun violence
All Congress, Senate, NRA and Mr. Trump, hear this message. What if your child or family member lost their life in cold blood? I would never wish this on a human (God forbid) but it can happen anywhere or anytime. Are you all too blind and cold not feel the pain and grief these families feel? I am sure it would hit home and tear your heart apart. Then maybe you'll say enough is enough.
I am not against the people's right to bear arms. However, limit the amount of guns being bought. Thorough background checks are vital and critical. Civilians shouldn't be allowed to purchase an AR-15 or any military assault weapons. Get them out of our gun shops, period. We vote and put you in office to protect and keep us safe. By your incompetent actions, the violence will continue. The blood will be on your hands.
Stand up and get some backbone. Step on the toes of the NRA if you have to. Act now. The current talk is to put more guns wit teachers in schools. Wrong. Stupid thought. Deranged maniacs will go elsewhere if they know the schools are armed.
Our country has become a joke. People and other nations are laughing at us. We used to be the most powerful nation in the world. Not anymore. Stop politicking and start to govern.
Congress, stop hiding and start defending. Stand up to our Commander and Chief. Tell him when he's wrong and bringing down our democracy.
It's either shape up or ship out. You know Barnum Bailey Circus retired, but I swear the circus is performing up at Capitol Hill and in our White House.
