Palatine councilman hosting District 2 meeting

Palatine District 2 Councilman Scott Lamerand will host a meeting with residents who live in the area he represents at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, at village hall, 200 E. Wood St.

In light of recent national events involving violence in schools, officials said part of the evening will feature a Palatine police presentation on school safety in the community. There also will be updates on what's happening in the village and District 2.

This will the first of two district meetings for Lamerand. His district stretches as far west as Roselle Road and east to Hicks Road. Mayor Jim Schwantz and Palatine administrators also are expected to attend.
