Information session about service academies April 4 in Wheeling

High school students interested in attending a military service academy can learn more about them and the nomination process during an information session at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, at Wheeling High School, 900 S. Elmhurst Road.

U.S. Rep. Brad Schneider is hosting the event, which will feature representatives from each of the five service academies - the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, U.S. Military Academy (West Point), and U.S. Naval Academy.

This event is open to the public. Students, parents, guidance counselors and school officials are all invited to attend.
