Buffalo Grove Rotary Offers Grants to Fund Community Initiatives
The Rotary Club of Buffalo Grove supports local efforts on a yearly basis through Community Grants given to organizations that make Buffalo Grove a better place to live and work.
One-time grants of up to $2,500 are awarded for projects and causes that have the potential to provide visible, long-term, sustainable benefits for the entire community.
Local efforts considered for grants must be initiated by the applying organization and contribute to Rotary's focus on community service.
"The core philosophy of Rotary is to provide 'service above self,' and we carry this out in many ways, both locally and internally," said Deenie Pomilia, the Buffalo Grove Rotary Club Grants committee chairwoman.
"Those who receive grants should model these core values while promoting integrity, goodwill, and fellowship in our local community."
Applicants must be organizations with a clear mission and structured leadership. Charitable or nonprofit organizations with a 501(c) (3) designation are encouraged to apply, though this designation is not a requirement to qualify.
Faith-based nonprofit organizations may apply for grants, provided their proposed project is for the benefit of the community as a whole, rather than just the members of their congregation or organization.
Applications are due by May 19 and can be obtained by visiting https://clubrunner.blob.core.windows.net.
