Rosemont man sentenced to jail, probation for sexually abusing girl

A Rosemont man has pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a 9-year-old girl last September.
In exchange for pleading guilty Friday to aggravated criminal sexual abuse, Miguel M. Martinez was sentenced to 180 days in jail and 24 months of probation, court records show.
Martinez, 30, was also ordered to pay $1,184 in fines and register as a sex offender, according to court records.
Prosecutors say the girl told her father and his girlfriend about the abuse sometime last fall.
