Huntley man accused of video recording girl without her knowledge
A Huntley man has been charged with possession of child pornography following an investigation by the Huntley Police Department, officials said.
Martin Israel Vilchis-Caralampio, 41 was arrested and charged Friday after police received a tip about two incidents in which a young girl was recorded without her knowledge, according to police. After searching Vilchis-Caralampio's phone, police said they retrieved the videos in question and took Vilchis-Caralampio into custody.
Vilchis-Caralampio was charged with two counts of possession of child pornography and two counts of unauthorized video recording of a child under the age of 18, police said. He is currently being held in the McHenry County Correctional Facility on a $25,000 bond and is due in court Wednesday.
The most serious charge, possession of child pornography, is a class X felony and can carry a penalty of up to 30 years in prison.
