New Lake County judge named

Ari P. Fisz will become the next associate judge of the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit in Lake County, Chief Judge Jay W. Ukena announced in a news release Friday. Ukena said he was notified by the director of the Administrative Office of Illinois Courts, that Fisz received the most votes cast and is eligible for appointment to the post. He will fill the vacancy created by the appointment of Judge Joseph V. Salvi to circuit judge. Fisz was found highly recommended by the Lake County Bar Association's Judicial Selection and Retention Committee. He currently is the chief of the felony trial division with the Lake County state's attorney's office.
