Des Plaines American Legion Post 36 forms motorcycle unit

Des Plaines American Legion Post 36 is looking for local veterans who ride motorcycles.

The post has been licensed to start American Legion Riders Chapter 36, a motorcycle unit with a focus on "preserving American traditions and values, improving the quality of life for American children, caring for veterans and their families and teaching the fundamentals of good citizenship."

Requirements to join the group include membership in an American Legion and license and insurance to ride a 300cc or larger motorcycle.
