North Chicago ousts DePaul Prep

Raeshaun Samoa had 17 points and 11 rebounds, and North Chicago's boys basketball team defeated DePaul College Prep 66-58 to capture its own Class 3A sectional championship on Friday night.

No. 2 North Chicago (21-8) advances to Tuesday's 6 p.m. supersectional at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates and will play Rockford Boylan Catholic.

It's the first sectional title for North Chicago since 2014.

Top-seeded DePaul College Prep was led by Raheem Anthony with 20 points and 5 rebounds.
